Is the power of wind energy strong enough to power the world?
The greatest concern that plagues any nation today is the issue of Global warming. Pollution has led to environmental degradation causing widespread climatic changes and also resulting in various health hazards. It is not only the various governments of the different countries but also the business houses and the companies who are spending time and money to bring about radical changes in development of sustainable, renewable and alternative sources of energy. It is here, that the power generated from wind energy has emerged as one of the fastest growing renewable energy technologies. Wind power energy is one of the most viable options amongst the various renewable energy technologies today.
Wind Energy Technologies
Wind energy technologies have matured over the years and the usages of wind turbines for power generation have gained momentum. The latest are the vertical axis wind turbines that need to be pointed towards the direction of the wind in the homes that will result in generating the cleanest energy. The kinetic energy of the wind is transformed into mechanical energy by these specially designed wind turbines. Most wind turbines have start up speed of 8 MPH but it requires a minimum average speed of 12 MPH. The height at which the wind turbines work best is approximately 100 feet. Another important thing is it requires half an acre of land to make it efficient without many obstructions. There exist three types of wind turbines especially designed for the residential owners.

climate engineering
huge tides = huge erosion of
land tidal channels = desalination = more rain
= cooler climate = huge carbon sink
