Child Artists Join UN on Climate Change
From Mexico to Malta, children from all over the world are helping to raise awareness about climate change through Paint for the Planet, an exhibit and auction of children's art organized by the United Nations Environment Programme. Launched on Oct. 23 at the United Nations' headquarters in New York, the exhibit features dozens of paintings by young artists that showcase their hopes and fears for the planet. These finalists were chosen from a collection of nearly 200,000 paintings. A live auction of the paintings will raise funds for children affected by climate-related disasters. This painting is by Charlotte Sullivan, 13-years-old, England
